It follows a seemingly normal family with a dark secret: they are vampires. They choose not to drink blood despite their natural desire, but their truth is revealed one day. I went into The Radleys with low expectations, so I wasn’t too disappointed by this completely unnecessary addition to the vampire genre. It felt like an overlong episode of a decently budgeted daytime soap opera. I’m curious how such a shoddy film was greenlit in the first place, perhaps a gamble or a dare. I imagine it could have been 30 minutes shorter, but ideally about 1 hour and 55 minutes shorter. I made the mistake of not watching it in one sitting, so it actually felt like it lasted for days. I won’t include spoilers because my brain did me the favor of forgetting most of it, presumably to make room for something (whatever) much better.
