Plot

In times torn by war, a poor lumberjack and his wife live in a large forest. One day, the woman finds and saves her little daughter, bringing irreversible changes to the lives of the couple and those in whose path the child crosses.

It tells a story set in Poland during World War II, almost like a popular story

This is the best premiere of 2024 that I have seen so far this year, and it is mid-December 2024. Most of the action takes place in the forest, typical of the aforementioned popular stories, telling about a couple of lumberjacks who adopt a Jewish girl who was thrown out of a deportation train passing through their forest.

From the technical side, everything is also done perfectly

She was thrown out by her father to save her from certain death in Auschwitz. I will not go into details of the plot, so that you can see them for yourself, I will only add that the film will have a deeply philosophical ending.

The visual side of the film is done brilliantly

The drawing style is just right, not too detailed or too rough, showing mostly scenes in low light with dominant shades of gray, thus emphasizing the horrors of the most famous war and mass extermination in human history. And then the soundtrack, which is sublime: score, sound effects, narration and voice acting (I saw the original version in French), all completely appropriate to present this gem of a film.

Can’t wait for the third season to come out

Much better than I thought it would be based on some of the negative reviews here. So good that I watched the first two seasons over a long weekend. Great premise for a show with some similarities to shows like Lost and Wayward Pines, but different enough that it doesn’t feel like the same show.

A very enjoyable and fun watch

Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys horror/mystery type shows with a little gore. I just hope there are more seasons, or at least enough so that we get answers to all the questions I still have. One of the best shows I’ve seen in a while.

I'm a fan of yellowstone & most of Taylor Sheridan's work.This however is a step too far.Now obviously things need to go wrong to develop the plot, but wow!

They muck up every op they undertake

From the opening scene of letting the insurgents start attacking before they realize they might be bad guys to the ridiculous decision to use an unlikeable miserable woman (the main character) to make friends with a lively party going target.I would happily just go along with it if it wasn't for the fact this stuff is supposed to be taken seriously.Others here have already stated the main lead is painted as some kind of supergirl.

And that is correct

She's like a terminator!My main issue though is that she's really unlikeable.

Plot
